Xilisoft Movie Maker is an application with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to create movies from video clips of various formats, including AVI, ASF, MKV, MP4 and WMV.
The interface of the program is clean and pretty intuitive. Video clips can be imported into the storyboard by using either the file browser, treeview or "drag and drop" method.
So, you can preview clips, cut them by marking the start and end position, crop videos and add a soundtrack.
But you can also apply various transitions (e.g. arrows vertical, double circle, diamond, wipe, streak horizontal), view file properties and clone videos.
Furthermore, you can export results to movies of multiple extensions, such as MOV, MP4, RM, MKV and AVI, as well as configure audio and video settings when it comes to the size, bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, encode mode, sample frequency rate, channel mode and volume.
In addition, you can edit metadata (e.g. title, author, comment), set-post-task actions (e.g. turn off computer, exit program), change the interface skin and language, customize the CPU core number, and more.
The video processing software runs on a pretty high amount of system resources, has a good response time, includes a brief help file, quickly finishes a task and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. The image and sound of the output videos have a good quality. We strongly recommend Xilisoft Movie Maker to all users, regardless of their experience level.
